The results of the ballot were as follows:
Endorse Lucy Powell - 82.2%
Make no endorsement - 9.1%
Endorse Bridget Phillipson - 8.7%
The turnout for the ballot was just under 70%. As an organisation less than a month old, having over 1000 members voting is a great sign of our collective determination and energy.
Today’s results show that an overwhelming majority of Mainstream members back Lucy Powell as the Deputy Leadership candidate most aligned to our mission of unlocking Labour’s transformative potential.
